Hi, I’m Wendy. I design apps and websites that people just get, no instructions needed.

How it started

During the COVID-19 lockdown 😷, school was on pause and I wanted to learn a skill. I decided on tech, but I didn’t want to write a single line of code 🙅🏾‍♀️. Then I found UI/UX and taught myself the basics. A couple of years later, after finishing school, I got serious: bootcamps, tech events, connecting with other designers, and eventually a full-time job as a designer.

The plot twist

At the end of 2025 I started learning a new skill alongside design: tech support. By 2026 it was my full-time role, and I fell completely in love with it 😍. Support turned out to be a front-row seat to how people actually use products. Every confused message is a design brief in disguise, and suddenly design and support weren’t two different jobs anymore.

Right now

Now I’m back to designing full time, with that support experience in every decision. And I’m open to my next full-time role. 👀

What I do

I design mobile apps and websites from the first flow to the final screen: research, user flows, interfaces, prototypes and design systems. Then I stay through the build, so what ships is what was designed.

  • Prototyping
  • User flows

I find and look after partners: the first conversation, the follow-ups, and the relationship long after the deal, so both sides keep getting something out of it.

  • Growth

I use AI tools to automate the repetitive parts of my work and turn ideas into working prototypes quickly, so real people can try them sooner.

I troubleshoot problems, onboard new users and dig into APIs to find out what actually went wrong. Every ticket shows me something a screen didn’t explain, and that goes straight back into my designs.

The one rule I design by

“Where would I look if I was in a hurry?”

The same questions kept coming up, and most of them weren’t the client’s fault. The answer was usually right there on the screen, just not where anyone would think to look. So now, before I call any design finished, I ask myself that one question.

Where it shows up in my work

A few things about me

Favourite toolFigma

My canvas, my happy place and, honestly, my second home.

Secret weaponTalking to real users

I hear exactly where people get stuck, then design around it.

Powered byA good playlist and the right fruit drink

Get both right and I’m good to go for hours.

Pet peeveForms that wipe everything you typed

…because one field was wrong. All of it. Gone. Why are we like this?

Can’t standThe Microsoft Teams ringtone

Not the app. The ringtone. That sound has haunted me through far too many calls. 😩
